The Greco grapes are grown 700m above sea level, in the Montefusco vineyard. The soil is a mixture of sand, silt and clay and the vines are guyot-trained. Grapes are typically harvesetd in the last week of September and are whole bunch pressed. The juice if fermented in stainless steel and refined on its lees for 10-12 months.
Aromas of stone fruit and pink grapefruit. Lightly floral with savoury yeasty notes. Ripe and honeyed on the palate, which combines incisive citrus characters, minerality and saline acidity with complex, textured, savoury notes. Fine white peach and grapefruit characters lead to a long and spicy finish.
Enough character to match duck breast salads and lightly spicy chicken dishes.
