Production
Located in the northern area of the Cote d'Nuits, Fixin is one of the smaller appellations and grapes are grown on limestone soils with some marl patches. The vineyards have a south-east exposure at around 350m altitude. Grapes are hand picked and trodden by foot before being aged in old wooden vats. The wine is only released once ready to drink.
Tasting notes
This is a new addition from Vallet Frères with fleshy strawberry aromas and a nice, weighty palate with some decent tannins.
