Production
Harvesting is by hand and machine, and winemaking is traditional and overseen by Michel Lihrmann - pneumatic pressing, temperature controlled fermentation, no finings and light filtration before bottling - all to preserve fruit and aromatic qualities and elegance. His philosophy is to make wines with good acidity and fruit balance.
Tasting notes
Turckheim's Reserve wines have a touch more character and typicity. This has a lovely flush of pink colour with a rich, full, perfumed palate and a long, slightly smoky finish.
Food match
Perfectly compliments exotic flavours in fish, chicken or vegetable dishes, particularly if you are cooking with Thai or Asian spices, ginger or chilli.
