Production

The Earthscape label is named according to the lie of the land on which Pyren is planted, from the soil structure in its quartz laden mass, to the rolling valleys, and skyward facing peaks. 5% whole bunch, wild yeast fermentation, rested in seasoned 300L and 500L old French Oak for over 12 months.

Tasting notes

Cherry plum flavours with smoked cedar and mint top notes, but as it breathes it gets meatier, juicier and more complex, with roasted nut and woodsy spice notes in the mix too. It’s in a good place now, but it’s on its way to somewhere better.

Food match

Think BBQ, steak, burgers, grilled aubergine.
