Production
Gamay from the northern terroir of Beaujolais, within the wider regional area of Burgundy. In the early 1900s the area was mined for manganese and it is the remnants of this blue-veined mineral in the sub strata that provides the special underlying tonality to this wine.
Tasting notes
Concentrated, bright berry fruit with freshness, minerality and gentle tannins in perfect harmony.
Food match
A versatile wine that can take you from a starter of paté on toast or charcuterie or warm goats chees salad through to roast pork or roasted vegetables and then on to the cheese plate.
