Production
Grown on the Clay- Calcareous soils of Progreso, this 100% Tannat is aged for 5 to 6 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Compôte, brambles, chocolate and a whiff of tobacco over a fresh palate of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and coffee. Excellent balance between high acidity and firm chalky tannins. Full-bodied palate, shaped by careful extraction and cool maceration.
Food match
Would pair with Uruguayan-style Creole beef asado. Meat stews, Uruguayan-style Creole stew. Strong cheeses, prosciutto and various cured meats.
