Production

Pinot Grigio grapes are sourced from key partners in the Oltrepo Pavese region of Pavia and fermented with a final abv of around 11%. This is then blended with 15% of a ‘Chiaretto’ component (Barbera / Pinot Nero blend) which had had the fermentation deliberately stopped at 9% abv and 20 g/l sugar. The resultant wine at 10.5% abv is fruity and balanced with around 5 g/l final sugar contend giving a little more weight to the mid palate.

Tasting notes

Fresh and fruity with red berry aromas. Notes of strawberry and redcurrant on the palate with a bright finish.
