Production

The grapes are sourced from Pepe Fusters best vineyard plots across a 26 hectare stone-covered vineyard in Terra Alta, Catalonia - north east Spain. A blend of predominantly Garnacha and Cariñena, with a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah - the Garnacha vines are low-yielding, and nearly 50 years old. The wine spends 10 months in new Dargaud and Jaegle oak barrels.

Tasting notes

The old vine Garnacha fruit provides rich, dark and complex, spicy blackberry characters. A big and serious wine - ripe and juicy enough to be enjoyed now but with enough structure to mature for a further 8-10 years.

Food match

Rich casseroles, lamb burgers, roasts and fantastic sausages!
