Production

The grapes for Montevista Carmenere are grown in the Maule Valle, the oldest planted and most southerly of Chile's central valley regions with rocky, riverine, mineral soil fed by broad, pure glacial rivers. The high mountain vineyards can be surprisingly cool which gives a freshness to the wine. Vinified in stainless steel with some 6 months of gentle oak contact (French oak staves)to add a touch of complexity .

Tasting notes

Fresh blueberry fruit with a serious savoury character and touch of spice on the finish.

Food match

Serve with grilled lamb or a hot chilli.
