Tasting notes
Tension, precision, energy and brightness. There is an incredible balance between lightness and power …gun barrel grey clouds ahead, pure bright sunshine behind sort of thing … everything in sight seems vividly ‘lit’, full of promise, exciting, poised. There’s a passing nod to Gewurztraminer for the briefest of moments, then quickly on to spices, earthiness, fragrant peach skins, ripe pear and always something darker, deeper, earthier, stonier in the core. Crackling acidity suddenly provides the lightning and drama and the finish ‘shimmers’ as it slowly fades.
