Production
A Bourgogne Blanc, but made with fruit from a small plot of 38 ares very close to Puligny with deep clay and stoney soils. It was made very much in the style of its grander sibling, with half of the blend aged in oak. The vines are part of the new estate bought by Brigitte Berthelemot in 2018 which has doubled the size of the domaine to 15 hectares, and over the next few vintages we will start to see some exciting new wines from them.
Tasting notes
In essence a “baby” Puligny-Montrachet. Les Parties comes from the southern end of this illustrious commune and it is as characteristically fine and mineral as the much more expensive wines that bear its name.
Food match
Potted shrimps on toast, or a creamy chicken and mushroom pie.
