Production
From Barbera grapes grown on 60 year old vines cultivated in the d'Annona vineyard in the Monferrato hills. Aged for 20 months in French oak barriques.
Tasting notes
Intense garnet purple colour. Classic Barbera aromatics of salami skin with a hint of cloves and mint lead to a sumptious and crunchy palate of bitter cherries, leather and herbs. Silky tannins and reassuring acidity complete the picture.
Food match
Perfect with Carne cruda (steak tartare in France) and also really good with lamb cutlets or a rich Piemontese bean stew.
