Production
Gavroche Blanc is a blanc de noirs using a blend of Cinsault Noir and Muscat from 10-year-old vines grown on rolled pebbles from the Durance river valley. Grapes are kept cool before vinification, which is carried out at a low temperature, and the must is then cooled to facilitate a natural clarification. Maturation on the lees also occurs to allow the wine to develop a full fruit expression that is pure and crunchy.
Tasting notes
Beautifully aromatic nose with lovely grape notes that shine through from the Muscat. With hints of peach on the palate, this wine is fresh, and vibrant acidity keeps it lifted and juicy. A bright, crisp wine with lots of flavour for quite a modest price!
Food match
Preferably drank as an aperitif, but can be paired with fresh seafood dishes.
