Sourced from Pepe Fuster's 26ha vineyard in Terra Alta, near Tarragona. The vineyard is organically certified - with stoney limestone and clay soil, and vines grown at 500-600m altitude. A blend of Garnacha, Cariñena and Syrah - with the remaining 15% made up from Cabernet Sauvignon. Two month's contact with oak staves gives a touch of vanilla and added complexity.
Weighty with sweet ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit and warm vanilla oak spice. The oak contact gives this wine a new world feel whilst remaining firmly and typically Spanish from the character of old-vine Grenache and Carinena.
Smooth, ripe tannins mean the wine can be drunk on its own but particularly good with barbecued meats and chorizo sausage feasts.
