Production
The grapes for this wine come from the Casa Lo Alto estate’s Garnacha parcels in the village of Venta del Moro. The vines grow in shallow chalky clay soil, poor in organic matter. After hand-harvesting some whole bunches are macerated in vats with lightly crushed grapes. Once fermentation is complete the wine is transferred to concrete tanks where it spends 8 months before bottling - without clarification and with only a light filtration.
Tasting notes
Aromas of pomegranate and forest fruit with hints of fennel. The palate is complex and elegant with blackberry and hibiscus notes, fine-grained tannins and juicy acidity on the long finish.
