Production
Every year Boutinot winemakers select only quality parcels of wine from different estates and producers, each contributing key components to the finished blend. The grapes for this 100% Sauvignon Blanc are sourced from Gascony where Sauvignon Blanc typically displays excellent varietal purity and from cooler sites in the Languedoc. The Languedoc has a a warm mediterranean climate so by selecting cooler sites where their flavours can develop fully whilst retaining their deliciously zippy acidity and characterful flavours.
Tasting notes
This wine possesses fine aromatics, a pure citrus fruit expression, with herbaceous aromas and crisp green apples on the palate. Fresh acidity, varietal character and above all, a clean, persistent finish.
Food match
Drink on its own, well chilled, or try with tapas -the racy acidity in the wine makes it a great match for seafood in particular - boquerones anchovies would be fantastic!
