Since 1880 the Roncaglie cru has been recognised as one of the best and most important vineyards for Barbaresco production. Poderi Colla's Tenuta Roncaglia estate has eight hectares of Nebbiolo under vine, at an altitude of 240-280 metres and benefiting from a southern exposure. This enables the vines to produce clean, ripe fruit that’s hand-picked before being transported to Poderi Colla’s winery in Cascine Drago for vinification and maturation. Tenuta Roncaglia’s wines are some of the finest examples of Barbaresco around.
