Creating extraordinary wines from a blend of grapes is a rich tradition in South Africa. We’ve been making wines in the Cape for many years and like to think we know our grapes from our grapes. One single variety doesn’t necessarily guarantee great flavour but in the right hands, a blend of grapes can be crafted into a very flavoursome wine. We sniff out the quality fruit of each harvest (the prime cut so to speak) to craft top notch tasty wine of huge drinkability and food-ability. Modern winemaking techniques coupled with expert blending are the secret to these characterful wines. And although they may be classed as 'entry', that doesn’t mean they are easy easy to make... because as much passion and skill goes into making this pair as it does for Boutinot’s premium wines.
