Burgundy has been the heart of Boutinot France since it was founded over 30 years ago. Winemaker and Master Blender, Samantha Bailey, lives amongst the vines and is lucky enough to call some of her favourite cellars her neighbours. These unique relationships give her unrestricted access, meaning that she is able to contribute to both the viticulture and vinification of the grapes, as well as giving her extensive options for the final blending.​ Samantha seeks to express the best of the region by combining three vital elements: the florals, the exotic and the mineral. The eventual style is exuberant, round and rich; an expression of the warmth, joy and elegance of southern Burgundy.​ The word GENETIE is engraved in the footstone of a pillar that holds up a 16th century house situated at the heart of an estate in Southern Burgundy. Just as that stone represents the foundations of the building, so too does the region of Burgundy represent the beginnings of Boutinot France; the heart of our French winemaking activity for over 30 years. This history is etched into the wines we present, reflecting both the typicity and elegance of the region, and also Boutinot’s enthusiasm for creating wines which encapsulate their appellation, according to our tenet:​ Vignes, Terres, Temps.
