Château Castelbruck is the second wine of Château Haut Breton Larigaudière. Its vineyard is situated at Arsac in the Margaux appellation. On June 7, 1964, Ghislaine De Moor, wife of Emile De Schepper, bought the property that went under the name of Château Haut Breton Larigaudière in Soussans. The first 10 years were dedicated to the reorganization of the very split and neglected vineyard, to reach 5 ha in the 70s and 15 ha today. The estate had a new vat room built with stainless steel vats, a new barrel cellar and a bottle cellar. Jacques De Schepper is currently in charge of the vineyard with the help of his nephew, Oliver De Schepper. They are both keen to perpetuate the tradition and to continue moving towards modern techniques Located on one of the 5 townships of prestigious appellation Margaux, between Soussans and Arsac, the vineyard bases on varius soils : deep gravels and sandy of Arsac, burn clayey of Soussans, yellow and blue clays. It also takes advantage of part its geographical situation of a synergy that offer the Atlantic Ocean and the estuary of the Gironde climate.
