Meet the Producer

AltaVé was inspired by a thirst to reach high - a joint venture between Boutinot and Bodegas Borsao. Boutinot have worked with Bodegas Borsao in Campo de Borja, northeastern Spain, for over 20 years and their wines over-deliver on quality and price.

With 2,100 hectares in the Campo de Borja, nearly a third of the region’s total, this collaboration gives access to award-winning Garnacha. AltaVé will also open up opportunities for us to look further afield, to reach beyond the region and work with a wider palette of grape varieties.

A Note on Sustainability

AltaVé wines hold the Sustainable Wineries for Climate protection certification. SWfCP is the first specific certification for the wine sector and was developed by the Spanish Wine Federation and is awarded to only a small percentage of the Spanish wineries. Some of the points evaluated are: greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency, water management, workers and suppliers, territory and local culture, efficiency and resilience or ethical behaviour.
