Meet the Producer

Aeon Wines are made by Alisdair & Kenisha Tulloch, with the help of good friends and family. Their wines are 100% Hunter Valley, with each single vineyard wine estate grown and made in central Pokolbin, NSW. These wines first and foremost respect the character of our soils, which have been shaped and weathered over aeons to produce the Hunter Valley as it is today.

A Note on Sustainability

The wines made by Aeon come from a foundation of sustainable viticulture, with Alisdair having worked with his family to promote and restore native biodiversity in the estate vineyards for more than 10 years. The planting of native trees and shrubs around the vineyard areas, as well as the growing of multi-species cover crops both in the midrows and undervine area, provides habitat for predatory insects that control pests without spraying any pesticides. Carbon and nitrogen are fixed into the soil via these plants, which has eliminated fertilizer application and greatly improved in the sequestration of greenhouse gases. Native bird boxes have been installed around the vineyard area to further promote the healthy ecosystem that exists on the farm, and all of the grape marc is composted and returned to the vineyard as mulch at the end of each year’s harvest.
