Wines From Spain Awards 2019
14 Boutinot wines in the Top 100

Our Spanish portfolio shone at this year’s Wines From Spain Awards with the judges picking 14 Boutinot wines in the Top 100, including 4 Champion Awards and even the ‘Best Wine of Show’. ‘Chuffed to bits’ doesn’t do it justice!
Yesterday the results were announced for this year’s Wines From Spain Awards. The awards are dished out by an expert panel of judges, headed up by Tim Atkin MW, and the aim is simply to select ‘the best wine’. Seems pretty obvious, but without the need to choose certain styles or varieties, the judges are free to concentrate fully on genuinely selecting the best of what’s out there.
This year, out of all the entries, only 100 wines made the cut and we’re thrilled that 14 wines from our portfolio made it into the exclusive bunch. Our producers also managed to bag FOUR Champion awards including ‘Best Wine of Show’ for the ever-brilliant Fernando de Castilla and their Antique Oloroso. Not a bad day at the office at all!
Well done to all our producers who picked up a mention! It’s great to know that the hard work put in by our buying team, and most importantly the producers themselves (!), pays off and that we’re genuinely able to bring you lovely lot the best of what’s out there.
