No, you’ve not got déjà vu…Wildeberg has been named ‘Winery of the Year’ by Winemag.co.za for the second year in a row!

South African wine publication Winemag.co.za has tasted over 677 wines across 12 categories and have published several reports detailing the top ten results of their blind tastings. We’re delighted that 6 Wildeberg wines came in the top ten, with Coterie by Wildeberg Semillon & Sauvignon Blanc 2022 scooping ‘Best White Overall’ and Wildeberg Red 2022 awarded ‘Best Red Overall’. 

Wildeberg Red 2022 (96 points), Coterie by Wildeberg Semillon & Sauvignon Blanc 2022 (95 points)Wildeberg Terroirs Cinsault 2022 (94 Points),  Wildeberg Terroirs Chenin 2022 (93 points), Coterie by Wildeberg Grenache & Syrah 2022 (93 points), and The Tea Leaf 2022 (92 points).

From his first day in the cellar, Head Winemaker JD Rossouw and the Wildeberg wine team set their sights on expressions of place over cellar and its gratifying to receive another key endorsement of Wildeberg’s conscious technique of doing as little as possible in the winery to respect the source vineyards.

Clearly delighted with the win, JD said:
