In October Boutinot exhibited at this year’s Sustainability in Drinks event in London. Now, in its second year, the aim of the event is to address the challenges facing the drinks industry by uniting over 40 experts in talks, panels, and discussion sessions throughout the day. In the evening, Jancis Robinson OBE MW introduced a high-level panel discussion.

Boutinot exhibited in the packaging zone focusing on Araldica’s expert capabilities on canning wines and RTDs. We wanted to also demonstrate the benefits reducing emissions and costs by shipping in wine in bulk and bottling in country of sale.  Cost reductions for all aspects of the supply chain – producers and customers alike – would also practically benefit from reducing bottle weights, a pledge we’ve made as signatories of the SWR Bottle Weight Accord.

It was fabulous to meet a diverse range of industry professionals including other producers, suppliers, buyers, journalists, and advisors and generate conversations and hopefully moving forward more collaboration.

Several of our agency producers from around the world were also in attendance. Sebastián Tramon, Sustainability Manager Emiliana Organic Vineyards, spoke on “The Value of Certification” and on “Land Health with a deep dive into Organic, Biodynamic and Regenerative”. Hunter valley winemaking legend and long term Boutinot producer, Keith Tulloch hosted a session on the “Importance of Soil Health”. It was also great to see the Peter Lehmann team with wines on show (Sustainable Wines of Australia certified) and Juan Gil (certified International Wineries for Climate Action to the Gold Standard) in attendance too.
