Tabalí Talinay Vineyard Chardonnay 2020: “This youthful lively coastal Chardonnay has notes of herbs, green apple and oyster shell on the nose, with a persistent invigorating finish. Granbazán, Etiqueta Ámbar Albariño 2019: “My tasting note began, ‘This is all salt’. But that was just the first mouthful. It tasted of the sea, of crushed shells and brine and sea moss. The fruit was beautiful: fresh, peaches, apricots, lemon. Domaine des Tourelles Rosé 2019: “Bekaa Valley is home to Domaine des Tourelles founded in 1868 by Frenchman François-Eugène Brun. Honouring those roots, today the Domaine produces wines with predominately French varieties with this rosé being a blend of Syrah, Cinsault and (Spanish) Tempranillo. Honeydew melon, stone fruit and summer fruits on the nose with a very French-style savoury finish.” Aleesha Hansel – Red Magazine, May 2021
Waterkloof, Seriously Cool Cinsault 2019: Approachable and easy-drinking, from bush vines planted in 1964 and 1976, aged 10 months in neutral 600-litre barrels. Cinsault’s candy-floss tones show on the nose, with good concentration of strawberry fruit pastilles and violet notes on the palate. A crowd-pleasing style to serve (as the name suggests) at cellar temperature with duck or pork belly. 89 Points – Decanter Magazine, May 2021
Waterkloof, Circumstance Sauvignon Blanc 2020:Interesting nose of vanilla pod, toasted sunflower-seed hearts, greengage and fresh green pepper. This starts all borage leaf and spinach and kiwi fruit so green and fresh that it stings. Then it broadens and amplifies in the mouth: tellicherry peppercorns ping off ripe nectarine, clementines tuck into raw sugarsnap peas.
