Review Round-up (Jan-Feb ’19)
We truly believe our wines are fantastic, but you already knew that – we wouldn’t sell them if we didn’t! That said, it is always nice when someone else comes along and recognises the quality in our portfolio, even better when they write a lovely review in the press to tell everyone about it… Here’s a round-up of what they’ve been saying about us this last month!
Valenciso ’10 Anos Después’ 2007:
“This generous red offers cassis, dried cherry, cocoa and licorice flavors, focused and still fresh, supported by firm, well-integrated tannins and balsamic acidity. Shows power and balance, in the modern style. Drink now through 2031.” 93 points.
Thomas Matthew, Wine Spectator
Diez Siglos Verdejo 2017:
“A private co-op of 65 growers who farm 380ha, with wines made by Sandra Chivite…. this well-priced unoaked Verdejo offers classic fennel, green herb and tart citrus fruit with firm acidity.“
Tina Gellie, Decanter (March 2019).
Domaine Boutinot Rhône ‘Les Cerisiers’, Côtes du Rhône Rosé 2017
“A well priced rosé that will pair well with salmon and roast veg, or just to sip on its own. Subtle aromas of hibiscus and pomegranate lead to an elegant, mid-weight palate of spiced red berries with refreshing acidity and gentle tannic grip”. 90 points.
Tina Gellie, Decanter (March 2019).
