A glimpse at some of the new producers joining our portfolio this autumn.

We are excited to introduce you to these new producers…

Meet Gradis’ciutta

Robert Princic founded the winery in 1997, named after the hilltop village where he grew up, surrounded by vineyards that his family had tended for generations. At 47 hectares (across 21 vineyards, all cultivated organically) Gradis’ciutta is now one of the ten largest producers in Collio. However the winery’s focus is ruthlessly on quality over quantity. Friuli is a region known for its outstanding whites, the region’s distinctive Ponca soil and its proximity to the Slovenian border are deeply influential – shaping both the landscape and the wines it produces. Robert’s wines are no exception, and his vision for the winery is to grow slowly, sustainably, and beautifully; one vineyard, one bottle, one season at a time.

Meet Boutari

Boutari are one of the largest producers in Greece. Founded in 1879, in Naossa by Ioannis Boutaris the company set out with the aim of producing and trading quality red wine. Fast-forward to 1906 when they produced and bottled “Naoussa Boutari” one of the first Greek red bottle PDO wines to enter the Greek market and one of the wines we have brought into our portfolio. Today the company owns estates in key winemaking regions throughout Greece including Mantinia, Naoussa and Goumenissa where they aim to highlight the character of region as well as that of the native grape varieties that grow there. Alongside the Naoussa Boutari (Xinomavro) we have bought in 2 wines from Boutari’s Seméli Estate. Located a couple of hours west of Athens, in the picturesque rolling hills of Mantinia, the estate consists of a modern winery which uses gravity-fed processes to move the grapes and wine. This is a premium estate and a real flagship for the Boutari group and perfect for our customers.

Meet Chavin Zéro

We’ve been on the lookout for a new non-alcoholic wine range to join the portfolio and after plenty of benchmarking sessions and countless (non-alcoholic) tastings, we’re excited to share that Pierre Chavin will be joining us as our first non-alcoholic wine agency. Based in Languedoc-Rousillon, Maison Chavin were established in 2010 and specialise in high-end, alcohol-removed wines and sparkling wines. Their wines stood out for taste, quality, value for money, and presentation. The range includes five wines with something to suit every kind of customer: Blanc de Blancs, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Pinot Noir, and a Cabernet-Merlot blend.

Meet Peter Lehmann

Peter Lehmann should need no introduction and it goes without saying that we are delighted to be able to represent them in a UK market that already loves the wines, as do we! Peter Lehmann was always about the people and this philosophy and culture of supporting family growers in the Barossa remains fundamental to their ongoing sourcing and strategy today. Now steered by head winemaker, and native Barossan, Brett Schutz and team, the tradition of crafting terroir-driven wines from grapes sourced across their Barossa family of growers continues while actively encouraging successive generations of growers in the region.

Meet Morris of Rutherglen

The Morris family’s journey began in 1859, when George Francis Morris planted their first vineyard near Rutherglen, Victoria. By 1885, the operation had expanded to over 600 acres, making it the largest winery in the Southern Hemisphere at that time. Today, following in his father’s footsteps, Madden Morris is the sixth-generation Chief Winemaker at Morris of Rutherglen. Guided by the philosophy, “It’s easier to get it right the first time,” Madden focuses on precision from the outset. Family remains central to his path, with his father, David, and grandfather, Mick, inspiring his respect for tradition while nurturing the future of the Morris legacy. Morris of Rutherglen offers Boutinot a unique pair of wines in their fortified muscats. Incredibly rich, hedonistic wines produced from non-vintage blends including some portions of wine from 100 years ago.

Meet Pisano Family Wines

Pisano Family Wines is nestled in Progreso, 45 minutes uphill from Montevideo, some 20km from the broadest point of the Rio del Plata estuary before it meets the chill of the South Atlantic. First and foremost, Pisano is a family winery and brothers Eduardo, Gustavo, and Daniel share responsibility for viticulture, winemaking, and marketing respectively. They are a dynamic, animated trio with the combined energy of three hundred people rather than three. Pisano came to Boutinot looking for continuity in the market at a time when Boutinot was looking for Uruguay. Fortuitously we bumped into each other and it’s been a bit of a love-in since then. The Pisano family are fiercely proud of Tannat, Uruguay’s flagship grape, where they balance tradition with experimentation, selecting clones, adjusting yields, and refining techniques to capture both the grape’s depth and the land’s character. Their Albarińos are also of particular relevance and they are new to the UK. Real wines from very real people that deserve a place on every list and shelf.
